Maybe I only feel this way under the influence of the artwork, but listening to this album is like experiencing the birth of planets. Aside from a very upbeat, funk-laden opening track, the rest of the album plays out like a great folk story, drifting through happy dreams, bluesy ponderings, somber psychedelic ideas, and great mystic powers. If this album was a temple, i would worship at its steps.
